Tips on Making your Candle Last Longer
1- On the first burn of your green tea candle, make sure to let the candle burn long enough to melt ‘pool’ all the way to the outer edges of the jar. Candles have a good memory. If your candle is lit for less than 2 hours and doesn’t reach the outer edges of the jar it can cause tunnelling.
2- On subsequent burns take the black top off your wick. Your wick should be 1/4 of an inch at all times before burning. That way your candle will burn slower and last longer.
3- Black soot in inevitable, especially when the candle reaches the bottom of the jar. This is to do with reduced oxygen levels as the candle moves down the jar. To remove, get a dry tissue and wipe the jar clean.
